ARTIST'S STATEMENT

My art is a reflection of where I grew up. The hills and mountains of Northeastern Kentucky contain many characteristics that are repeated in my paintings and drawings. Contrast in color value is the key to my art. Abstract shapes that are painted very realistically are used to create an emotional response from the viewer.
